Students will write an approximately 8-10 page (2000-2500 words), double-spaced paper on a question relevant to this class. The paper must significantly engage with course texts, and can be based in part on two or more interviews conducted by the student.
Draw on at least several non-assigned, peer-reviewed sources from anthropology or sociology (or another social science like psychology or economics) in addition to the class assignments.
This is a research paper that can also incorporate ethnographic elements. Please see the writing assignment rubric for more info on assessment.
