Run a series of queries. First run a query that finds all larcenies that occurred in May 2002.

Download Samples.accdb to your desktop.  Rename it to LastName_Incidents.accdb (where “LastName” is your last name,) and open the file.
Run a series of queries.
First run a query that finds all larcenies that occurred in May 2002.
Note the use of the “wildcard” characters.  Read the Access Help file titled, “Examples of Access Query Criteria.”  Generally you are using the * and ? characters to do this.
Second, run an update query.  You are to replace the term “Shoplifting” with “Larceny from Store.”
Third, re-run the first larceny query after having run the replacements.
Copy and paste all the tables produced into a MS Word .doc.
Download the People.txt file attached.  This is the same file as previously used.
Create a new access database, LastName_People.
Import the data using the import function of Access.
Once imported, update the fields to their proper names, i.e. FirstName, LastName, etc.
Then add a field for state.
Using the update query, have everyone who lives in “Metropolis” or “Gotham City” be updated to live in “NY” for the state.
Then run a query for everyone who lives in NY.
Upload both Access databases, which should include your query tables, and the MS Word doc.  Make sure that your name appears in the file name for both files, and make sure that your tables are properly labeled in the .doc file you created.
