By evaluating the mutual funds annual report, prospectus, and independent research cites, and thinking critically about the claims and statements made by the 3rd parties, you are to make your own assessment regarding the mutual fund and determine the likelihood of investing your own money.Format: The analysis should be no more than 1,500 words, or 3 pages. Please use headers for the assignment title, course name and section, and your name and date. Please use footers for page numbers. Please include all sources used (not included in word count).Process: Find and select two mutual funds that have been recommended by a 3rd party source (use a different source for each fund) and assess their analysis and rationale for their recommendations. Then complete your own evaluation using the funds prospectus, annual reports, and independent analysis sites. Compare your analysis to the 3rd party rationale to determine if what they are saying is correct or incorrect. And finally, using the evidence that you have collected, determine if either fund is right for you based on your investment profile.(10pts) Research and select two Mutual Funds based on two different 3rd party recommendations that you find interesting. 3rd party recommendations can come from financial institutions, financial websites, or individuals professing to be “gurus” of mutual funds. Prepare your own evaluation of each fund using independent research sites, the funds prospectus, and the funds annual report as your primary tools. Address each component noted below that an investor should be assessing in their decision process. Note any discrepancies or differences to the 3rd party rationale as you complete your analysis. Common independent research sites include (zacks.com, marketwatch.com, Morningstar.com, valueline.com). You should be able to access the prospectus and annual reports by searching directly for the fund by name.Principal Investment strategies, goals and objectives.
