Learning Goal: I’m working on a african studies writing question and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.-my thesis is around the lines of “the world has such a monolithic and universal view of the hood. how do the low income neighborhoods in Detroit differ from the low income neighborhoods of Atlanta?”- my teacher said that this paper should be about black people-I need historical context of both cities such as what caused black people to be there; for example for Detroit there was the Great migration and the rise of the Auto industry -things such as how the city is set up would be helpful too, block size etc.
