In this assignment, you will be asked to develop a Sustainability Strategy framework
given a suggested process, format and content. Students will utilize the perspectives
gained from the Science and Stakeholder sections of the course along with the
information provided on the General Company Info tab of their organizational profiles
but now with the opportunity to update and modify these 3 pillars to help support a
new Sustainability vision, territory and position. The strategic framework should include
a vision, sustainability territory, positioning statement, priority pillars, directional
targets/ambitions, and foundational topics. In addition, you should develop a
3-paragraph Sustainability Manifesto and associated “tagline” meant to succinctly
summarize the story of your sustainability strategy and ambitions.
For this assignment, try to look at how other companies in your respective industries
frame their sustainability strategy. It may not be as straightforward as the graph below,
but the wording is important for developing your framework.
