For this assignment, read MARCH: Book Two, by John Lewis, Andrew Aydin, and Nate Powell…..Then, write a detailed paper about what this book reveals about this history — at least 600 words (not counting direct quotations)……It should demonstrate your understanding of the history presented, how that history is unearthed, and the implications for historians and for everyday people……Use specific examples to make your case………..For this paper, it may be helpful to consider the following:
* How does this source compare to the SNCC Mississippi document we read?
* What does this book reveal about US history, about freedom, and about how things change (or don’t seem to) over time? How does it fit into this course?
* What does it tell us that the characters in this book are largely college and high school students?
* This book series (including two more books that are not required for this course) jumps between John Lewis’ experiences as a young person in SNCC and his attendance, as an older person, of the inauguration of President Barack Obama. What do these two moments tell us about how much (or how little) history can change within one lifetime?……………….I have attached a link of the SNCC Mississippi document mentioned up there^^^…… I will put the link for the book down below (i couldn’t find a way to attach it). Please write about the history presented, how that history is unearthed, and the implications for historians and for everyday people, and please don’t forget to use SPECIFIC examples!! Also, don’t forget to incorporate the answers to the questions asked up there some how. THANKS!!!…..
THIS IS THE LINK FOR THE BOOK!!!!
