ENGLISH 1301 – Group Project – Film Review
Students will consider different points of view and work interdependently to achieve a shared purpose or goal.
In groups of 2-6 students, develop a PowerPoint presentation that reviews a popular film or show. The work can be current or from the past. RottenTomatoes.com is an allowed resource for finding reviews on this project. Or, your group may find the reviews from the web or library.

Your group should discuss your review of the movie as well and incorporate that into the presentation.
The review should contain
(1 Slide) A title slide showing all group member names
(2 slides) An introduction that announces the film or show, names its producers and featured actors, and gives an overview of the film
(3 slides for plot) Body slides that cover the film’s plot or the show’s connected plot (you can still review a show that has still running and has not shown its climax). Use terms to show knowledge of concepts learned in prior units (plot, climax, epiphany).

find at least one negative review from RottenTomatoes.com or similar (the internet)
support with two positive reviews from RottenTomatoes.com or similar (the internet) if your group ‘thumbs down’ the film
find at least one positive review from RottenTomatoes.com or similar (the internet)
support with two negative reviews from RottenTomatoes.com or similar (the internet)
(1-2 slides) Close by strongly asserting your group’s review
(1 slide) Works Cited page formatted per MLA showing all critical review sources.
The body may expand upon the above outline if desired.
