-Discuss diaspora theory by referring to Kureishi’s “My Son the Fanatic,” Mootoo’s, “Out on Main Street” and Rushdie’s “The New Empire within Britain?” What do these works suggest about life in diasporas? -Using Postcolonial theory, analyze any one of the following novels: Achebe’s Things Fall Apart, Rhys’ Wide Sargasso Sea, Sidhwa’s Cracking India and Abulhawa’s Mornings in Jenin. What does it mean to be postcolonial? What are some of the issues that postcolonial countries and their peoples deal with?
