CONSTRUCTION PLAN NEEDS TO BE DEVELOPED USING THE SITE LAYOUT PROVIDED IN THE PDF.
Individual Submission 1
Students will be required to produce a report that demonstrates their understanding of the information that is required to produce a successful project delivery plan.
The report will need to contain, as a minimum:
o A detailed project team diagram – can be group shared
o Linear responsibility matrix – can be group shared
o Identification of risks to project programme critical path and elimination, mitigation, management of the same
o Master programme (minimum 50 tasks/activities)
o Production of a detailed programme for an element of the project (minimum 25 tasks/activities)
o Site layout(s) to cover the period of the works from commencement of construction to completion of the structural frame
Further information will be issued in the project initial briefing document.
Your proposal is to be in the form of a written report (2000 words +/- 10%, excluding references) and supporting diagrams.
If you exceed 2,200 words, the extra words will not count to your grade and may not be read.
You are to submit your work electronically via turn it in.
Criterion Weighting
1. The accuracy, consistency and feasibility of the:-
Coursework 1
• project team diagram
• linear responsibility matrix
• identification and management of risks to the programme
• programmes (master and detailed)
• site layouts
Coursework 2
• feasibility of proposed changes and demonstration of impact upon the programme. 35%
2. The ability to develop and apply rationale solutions to tasks and synthesise information 30%
3. The clarity and appropriateness of the report, including evidence of adequate research to underpin the report. 20%
4. The content, structure and presentation of the report 15%
Referencing requirements for assignments
Statements, assertions and ideas made in coursework should be supported by citing relevant sources. Sources cited in the text should be listed at the end of the assignment in a reference list. Any material that you read but do not cite in the report should go into a separate bibliography. Unless explicitly stated otherwise by the module teaching team, all referencing should be in Westminster Harvard format. If you are not sure about this, the library provides guidance (available via the library website pages).
