As a library assignment or using the Internet, you must locate basic information about the responsibilities of one your state’s U.S. senators and your specific U.S. representative—committee assignments, subcommittees, length of time in office, and major bills he or she has sponsored. I recommend that students evaluate your senator’s/representative’s websites or recent copies of constituency newsletters to assess the policy positions taken by your representative. 
state to what extent is there agreement between your specific preferences and that of your senator/representative (on political issues, party identification, etc.). Be sure to provide an explanation of your findings.
