A‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍nnotated Bibliography Assignment An Annotated Bibliography is a list of sources that you intend to use for a research project, along with a brief summary of each. You will also provide an evaluation of how each source is helpful for your research. Find sources that aid in the research of your chosen topic. Requirements: Five sources – these must be from the electronic databases that can be found on the library homepage. You are required to watch these videos (Links to an external site.) to get more help using the library databases. You may also click here (Links to an external site.) to get additional help. Correct references – you must include a reference citation in APA format for each source. The databases supply correct APA citations for each source. Summaries – beneath each reference citation, provide a 5 to 7 sentence summary of that source. The summary should be in your own words, just as you did the first paragraph of Writing Assignment 2. Each summary must contain one direct quote and citation in APA format. The quote must not be floating. It must have an attribution. Evaluation — After the summary, provide a two to three sentence evaluation of how the source will be helpful to your research thesis (the one you said you were doing in the Topics and Sources Discussion; remember, you are not REALLY completing a research paper after this; we are pretending as though we are going forward with one after). Format: All reference entries must be in APA format. Most databases provide these for you. You may ‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍also consult the OWL at Purdue website for APA format. The document must have a header and a heading. Your title will be Annotated Bibliography. All lines of the entries are double spaced. Alphabetize bibliography entries by whatever is listed first (author’s last name, title); when alphabetizing by title, never use a, an, or the; go to the second word.
