This assignment is for you to present your theory of how people change during the counseling process and what the role of the counselor is in this process. Some considerations to keep in mind are: how you define change, what are the treatment goals, do you advocate for 100% abstinenceat all times for all people, or do you align with harm-reduction methods, define recovery, define sobriety, definethe counselors role, which theories work best for you as a counselor, does drug of choice inf‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‌‌‍‍‍‌‍‍‍‍‌‍‍luence the change process, if so, how? What about age of the client, what impact does this have on long-term sobriety?In Week 1 you will be presenting some of your ideas concerning these topics. For your Theory of Change paperit’s time to put them all together in a single, comprehensive theory of change.
